"Leclerc was mostly in clean air during the race while SLH was in dirty air mostly. This will impact the need for LiCo. Lewis was having to do LiCo and was given feedback on how he was doing. So I think they developed a plan on how to manage the brake temps with driving style that allowed them to manage it more than react to it"

"Its possible. But those are also very heavy braking zones where clean air or not the amount of deceleration energy is highest. So the heat generated would be peak and this is where you would target reducing the deceleration energy. Clean air matter more when cooling the brakes after the corner where you have more dynamic energy for cooling. If you are in dirty air on a straight then this chance to cool is reduced"

"How the car balance is evolving over the duration of the sprint. As the fuel load burns off the dynamics of the car change. The amount of weight that rolls in the corners dives under braking and pitches under load is change as the fuel load burns off. Not only that but the center of gravity is moving as this fuel burns off as well. Roll center changes with CoG etc. Oh AND the aerodynamic migration (downforce split from front to back) is ALSO changing as the fuel burns as well. The ride heights change as fuel load changes mean downforce relative to ride heights can change massively."

"Well its not something that teams take when they need it. They strategically taken engines into the pool so they can manage the mileage and load on them. For instance they could have three engines in the pool now that are Saturday and race engines and one that is a Friday engine. The race engines could have 40-50% load on them and they switch them based on how power limited the track is. So if one of those fails they already have a useable engine in the pool to swap to without having to take a new one"

"Good explanation Also the McLaren floor IMO isn't the most powerful but it's also why the car is so balanced through many corner types. So I think they have to rely more on beam rear and front wings to find that little bit extra. While others can rely a bit more on the more efficient floor DF but have to struggle a bit more with balance"

And what compromises may they have to make to aero to allow for cooling I think signs are better they could be in a good place for Mexico"
