"Now that people have explained and I have a little more understanding that makes sense to me. The jail time argument is a bad one imo. In the US I believe the prosecution needs to demonstrate the accused had mens rea. I might be a bit off. I believe it means intent. Unless I am still misunderstanding it would be similar to saying if some pedo emailed kp to a bunch of random email addresses that those people would get jailed. "I think at some point people with a lot of bitcoin will need to build themselves a Fort Knox. I think a lot of assumptions made is that people will have the desire to steal BTC.
