"First of all Starlink has only T Mobile in the US for their spectrum and not one in Europe. $ASTS has Vodafone AT&T Verizon Bell Orange Rakuten etc. For Direct to Cell you need approved regulated spectrum. Starlink doesn't use beam steering tech and has a lot of out of band issues with their current V2 D2C sats. In other words it causes a lot of interference. It is not know if the SL V3 sats are better in that and will be approved by the FCC. The ASTS sats are already approved for testing in the USA Japan & Europe and are much cleaner then the V2 sats. And if SL wants to be a MNO from space"
