"What this means is that to scale to 1M tps an investment needs to be made into hardware and networking. This is something that will be done slowly on mainnet as demand increases. At the moment the tps numbers are much lower and to all of a sudden float the network with 1M TPs would leave a lot of nodes behind. Next to that services on the network like indexers etc would have to upgrade. We are proving that it is possible to show the path to massive scaling but it will always be introduced slowly as demand increases"
