"Wallet thief caught arrested after attempted shopping spree Recently #WPD officers responded to a report of a wallet theft near 136th Ave & Huron St. The suspect vehicle was quickly located but our thief had already gone shopping. Turns out the stolen credit cards werent quite working as they had hoped . several expensive purchases were declined. So the suspect pivoted to a budget-friendly lineup: McDonalds cigarettes lighters and batteries. Nice. We found her shortly after. "Westminster Police Officers were working on a hit and run accident when they believed they had heard shots fired. "Traffic Stop Leads to Two Arrests Recently #WPD officers conducted a traffic stop near 84th and Federal and spotted drug paraphernalia in plain view. Turns out the passenger also had two active warrants. An @AdamsCoSheriff deputy and K9 responded to assist. "It was a beautiful morning for a ride . just make sure it's on your own motorcycle. #WPD officers arrested back-to-back motorcycle thieves. The first case went down around [--] a.m. near Sheridan Blvd and 80th Ave. Officers spotted a man cruising on a reported stolen bike and shocker turns out it wasnt his. The 29-year-old was taken into custody and was also found to be carrying illegal drugs. Shortly after officers spotted another motorcycle with no plates in the area of Federal Blvd and 104th Ave. We tracked it down and discovered the motorcycle was also reported stolen so we brought that"

"Shoplifting suspect with felony warrant caught arrested Recently #WPD officers contacted a shoplifting suspect at a business near 136th Ave and Huron St. He was caught trying to get away with nearly $1000 worth of items. Come to find out he also had a felony warrant out of New Jersey for shoplifting Pretty long trek . and he quickly learned we don't mess around in Westy. "NEWS RELEASE The Westminster Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred Friday morning in the area of Federal Blvd and 96th Ave. On Jan. [--] just after 6:30 a.m. officers responded to reports of a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian. Upon arrival officers located a 39-year-old man lying in the roadway. Recently a #WPD traffic officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of City Center Dr and 93rd Ave. When contacting the driver our officer immediately noticed the smell of alcohol.
