"I'm confident that the best climate in Italy for year-round living is in Liguria the Italian Riviera. Its unique microclimate offers some of the mildest winters in the country. Two of the best-known towns are Bordighera and Ospedaletti but they offer very different lifestyles. While both are beautiful (I've been to both) Bordighera's history as a grand winter resort means it has a vibrant year-round community with shops and restaurants that never close.
