"No the cap on those losses have come from taking higher quality setups based around HTF key-levels. That's helped me experience trades where there's more momentum and probability for price to move in my direction. The very recent losing days have been too large in my opinion and every one of those trades were winners turned into losers. "Might want to consider looking at all your previous trades and monitor how many points you're expecting the market to move to your TP then work out the average of it and see what you would've had if you went for something like 10-20 pts instead adjusting risk accordingly to make the same $ amount you would've made at [---] pts in the market. "Not every trade is a home run. In other words it's unrealistic to expect a 1:1 or higher risk-to-reward (RR) on every trade while expecting to win most trades. It doesn't work like that. The best traders average 1:1 or higher not because every trade was 1:1 or more but because they had a mixture of mostly negative RR trades with a few high RR ones in between. "Today the second trade I faced was similar to one of the trades I took on pre-NFP day. Stuck in a range price was going up to a key level. I went long on both trades. On Tuesdays trade I believed price would shoot through the level and hit my TP before reversing. Today I placed my TP before the level was tapped. The issue I have is some of these people will act like they're geniuses by pushing their ways of defining liquidity (FVGs and OBs) as the way. Prop firm related costs total $8.78k. Since October I've covered 26.7% of those costs. In terms of my total spend I'm nowhere near breakeven. I still have a long way to go.
