"Those that mine on subnets are rewarded in the subnet token that they are working on. For example for a long time on SN62 the top miner was making $40-70k per day. In terms of long term it really depends on the subnet. There have been a small group of hardcore ML engineers working on SN3 @tplr_ai for instance that do distributed pre-training.
