"Started using Alexa in my Rivian for the first time this week and its quite helpful. It can: - Open/close the frunk or tailgate - Turn interior lights on/off - Adjust volume temp fan speed and even specific vents or seats "turn on drivers heated seat" "turn off/on the rear vents" - And if you have Connect+ you can tell it to navigate to a restaurant or your set home address request music or answer questions (like when was Rivian founded or how far away is the moon) From the leaked Rivian Assistant images (shown below) it really isnt entirely new since everything shown there already works"

"I think its safe to say we will see R1 sales slow down as R2 comes online which is actually a very good thing. Rivian gets to focus on higher margin vehicles like the Dual Max pack Tri and Quad. And those who are currently interested in the Dual standard/large R1 may be pushed into buying a higher trim R2 which also would have higher margins. The concern shouldnt be the success or production ability of R1. Focus should be success of R2. R1 especially R1S has shown Rivian is cable of making a best seller. "Rivians R2 and R3 paint and interior trim names: R2 paint: Cloud White Metallic (versus Glacier White for R1) R3 paint: Permafrost R3X paint: Laguna Beach Blue R2 interior: Slate Sky (just like R1 a different wood) R3 interior: Wild Sage R3X: Dakar Dust These are likely subject to change and of course we are expecting there to be alternative interiors especially for the upcoming R2. But I think it's safe to say Slate Sky IS the light colored interior weve seen in validation vehicles. So no white interior like Ocean Coast"

"With Rivians updated R2 guidance at 175K units from Normal IL (out of a 215K total capacity) that leaves about 40K units for R1 and RCV/EDV production. Itll take over a year likely into 2H 2027 for Normal to reach full R2 output with three shifts. By then the Georgia factory should be coming the following year so R1 and RCV/EDV output shouldnt be heavily impacted if at all. Keep in mind Rivians production is variable: while total capacity is 215K R1 and R2 can each scale UP TO roughly 85K and 175K units respectively"
