"Gross Generalities but here goes: Worked most major pharmacy chains and landed on Rite Aid the longest. They gave adequate payroll and allowed the pharmacy associates to care for the patients. Profit was important but not the priority. Of course they are the first to fold. Walmart and grocery get propped up by the front ends. They are likely around the breakeven point in the pharmacies. Walgreens started strong. Walgreens now cuts corners and focuses on profits only. Private equity bought up and probably on the way out. Now you are left with CVS and the mom and pops. Mom and pops are fighters"
