"These are two different periods. First Division and Premier League. Chelsea never really took off until UEFAs rule changed on international players. And that was in 1995 or thereabout. It was that rule change that spurred Chelsea on. From Ruud Gullit to Gianluca Vialli and everyone else who followed. Pre-90s they were here and there.
