"Why trade options instead of perp/futures trading With options the price can go up or down you don't care. With futures if you're long the minute the price drops below your entry you lose money and vice versa for going short. In other words with options specifially writing/selling them you don't have to predict the direction when the price will reverse etc. The only thing you need to predict is where the price will NOT be on a specific day.
