"hmm this is something i think about often personally if i find an opportunity that is SIGNIFICANTLY better than $spgi (assuming i was a shareholder) while $spgi was trading at 40x fcf id sell and move on a lot of people subscribe to never sell mentality and thats fine assuming your time horizon is truly XX years or more. but just know that at any point you can experience a long period of flat returns holding on to a XX% grower at say 40x fcf i think anything north of 3x P/FCF to growth is pricing in a lot so if we expect SPGI to have about 12-13% FCF per share growth. thats roughly high 30s"

The acquisition was excellent and very accretive ROIC or ROCE isnt how u measure whether the acquisiton was accretive or not Again u can look at other comapnies like $CRM and $SPGI and see the same thing. Their capital efficiency ratios are also in the shits for many years as a result of a lot of acquistions (primarily acquisitions of asset light companies = lots of goodwill)"
