"If you own the convertible bond you own a call on GME for the maturity of the bond. So you can short GME and know that should it stay bid you can exercise the call and get stopped out at a certain price. So you short GME on any spike to say $XX. You know its not likely to do below book value so you take profit on your short around $XX. Once you covered your short you can sell it again on the next spike. Eventually as each spike gets knocked down the enthusiasm of call buyers shrinks. And IV falls. As the bond holder you now can play the same game but add a mix of calls and puts to the game."
