"Albertans are rallying behind a Progressive Conservative option - not because of nostalgia or branding but because of the values it represents. Internal polling shows that if a PC Party were on the ballot the UCP would fall to third place - right back to where it began as the Wildrose. And that explains the desperation. The UCP has sued us. They interfered with our application at Elections Alberta. They are now seeking a court injunction to block us from using the PC name. And now its being rumoured they may even consider legislation banning the word progressive from future political parties"

"KINDA STRONG AND SORTA FREE The UCP has now introduced Bill XX and yes it really does ban certain words. Under this bill conservative becomes exclusive property of the UCP. The term Progressive Conservative every related acronym and even combinations like Progressive + any C-word are banned. Oddly communist is also restricted - meaning Alberta is now guaranteed only one Communist Party. Quite an accomplishment. Our team has started calling ourselves the Progressive Redacted Party until we can repeal this mountain of UCP overreach and put Conservative back where it belongs. Healthy democracies"

"Debate: Cancelled After Question Period today the UCP shut down the Legislature and cancelled Private Members Business - stopping non-government MLAs from debating anything at all. That move killed debate on my Motions for Return and Written Questions. In six and a half years here Ive never seen this done. Theyre suing opponents. Theyre banning party names. And now theyre shutting down debate. Thats not transparency. Thats control.
