"Mid-July Option Well Update Stocks have stayed resilient so far this month with the Nasdaq and S&P XXX both touching new highs on the 15th. The momentum has been notable with many stocks jumping much higher. $CRDO is up XX% since being mentioned here as a new position last month and many others have jumped too. With the VIX at a low XX options are paying less than average. There seems to be fewer good option-writing opportunities right now but strategies such as strangles on $ABNB have continued to work. Expired this month: $ABNB 7/3 $XXX puts $XXX calls (short strangle) $NFLX 7/11 $1290 puts"

"Just an update: I'm closing these $1200 puts on $NFLX today for a majority gain and closing the $ADMA put position. ADMA put writing has made income in total but I don't wish to continue it right now -- I'm lowering exposure or risk a bit overall and it's a small biotech"

"Just another update: I'm also closing the 7/18 $XXXXXX puts on $DASH today at a majority gain. It's right at-the-money (ATM) so if you wait and see what happens it'll either expire for the full gain today (if the stock stays above $237.50) or the stock could dip and erase much or all of the gain you've made over past weeks. So the defensive move on days like this ATM is to just close at a price that is typically just giving back a fraction or small part of the premium you received on day one. On many expiration days I'll wait to the very final minutes to see if the full premium can be earned"
