"🔴 No trace of the original monumental library exists as it was made mainly out of wood. It was sacked by the Turks at the end of the 11th Century then completely burnt to the ground by the Ayyubids in the 12th Century. Thus this rendering is speculative/imaginative. As I often find its description in sources though grand does not give Dar Al Ilm justice visually. That we realize past glory is essential to realize new glory"
