The government shutdown continues with no end in sight, as Republican and Democratic leaders remain at odds over funding. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have traded blame, with Johnson saying Democrats aren't serious about negotiating and Jeffries saying Republicans have gone radio silent. The shutdown has entered its sixth day, with many federal employees unable to work and some services shuttered.
