"Theres always some rationale for nation-building. In Libya the excuse was that it would be multinational and thus unlike the more unilateral regime change mission against Iraq. In Syria the excuse was that countries were just supporting the rebels. In Gaza Vance says there will be a domino effect throughout the Mideast. This is ironic because Vance (who fought in Iraq and became a big critic of nation-building in Muslim countries) is actually parroting Bush era talking points about domino effects in the region.
