It's very common in our water bodies here especially Ondo to Bayelsa side I haven't personally encountered it in Lagos water tho. Most times we caught this fish as a byproduct of our initial Bonga fishing using Wasa fishing model/style. My ilaje people called the fish Lamusoro because of the look of the mouth.
