I've been reading up on possible HC candidates the last few weeks & I was actually very impressed with how Chris Shula never got a coaching job through family. He played at Miami (OH) with Sean McVay as a teammate. The defensive coordinator that Shula played for at Miami (OH) tabbed him to be a coaching assistant at Ball State after Chris was finished playing. After four years as graduate assistant and assistant position coach he landed"
