They use emplaced machine guns assault rifles and tanks (they're deploy by aircraft lol) but they also fight in formation with swords and shields (still supported by firepower) and carry axes. Ghibli's (or Hayao Miyazaki's in this case) grounded approach to fighting even when dealing with pure fantasy is a trait one that I will always appreciate"
