Tricolor and First Brands have two things in common: 1) Alleged fraud - both are thought to have involved double-pledging of collateral. 2) Not private credit - these companies tapped the broadly syndicated loan bank and asset-backed finance markets. Neither were sponsor-backed. Parse Dimon's comments - he never mentions private credit. It's a headscratcher as to why the media misconstrued"

"If Netflix is successful in "winning" the Warner Bros Discovery auction its difficulties only just begin. It is highly probable that the DOJ will sue to block the deal in court as it raises a presumption of illegality. The trial will come down to market definition. The DOJ will argue that the market is US SVOD in which the #1 is buying the #3 eliminating head-to-head competition (watch for any hot docs).
