"In 2021 I resigned over the UK Government continuing to allow the hounding of Veterans who served in Northern Ireland. Today that - and the Legacy Act I fought to bring in to end that practice are yet again entirely vindicated. The parasitical lawyers spineless politicians on all sides and wilfully mis-leading pressure groups need to stop weaponising families obvious and legitimate pain and go back to that Legacy Act as the last real chance for truth before those who know it pass away. And it goes without saying veterans should be able to live their lives in peace and the Nation as a whole -"
