"The frequent question I get is "when will R1 get R2 features". With R2 coming out in the next [--] months and being the priority I don't see the R1 getting much R2 features this year - model year cutover to R1 [----] will probably happen in June/July. The bigger bullet for Rivian taking all the cost savings they got with R2 and putting them into R1. They will use the economies of scale of R2 to do some part sharing across R1/R2 to increase the margins on R1. With [----] being the year of R2 and R1 [----] coming up quick I don't see this until model year [----] at the soonest."
