"Way different than APIs because you can now build production apps using AI. Still takes some elbow grease today but 3-5 years from now it will be much easier. Agents build the software. Salesforce will have to train/build agents leveraging their IP and CRM knowledge. So xyz company goes to GCP AWS OpenAI Anthropic and pays for the Salesforce CRM Dev agent to build a custom CRM for them. Salesforce will try to keep it within their walls but eventually will have to make those building agents available - otherwise someone else will build something that is 60-70% as good for 20-30% of the cost of"

Im not saying it is easy and there isnt a lot of work involved. That is why I am saying 3-5 years you can have agents today that can rip through and debug an entire code base in minutes"
