For example I have always used "you're welcome" but every single person I've spoken to from North Carolina replies to a thank you with "uh huh" with an uplilt on the second syllable. It's just their way. In Spanish "de nada" is common in most places but where I live in Costa Rica nobody says that. They all use "con gusto" which means "with pleasure". And "de nada" means "it's nothing" which is similar to "no problem". But is not meant to be lazy or rude."
