You can't possibly deny the fact of jurisdiction supplied during a vacancy of the Holy See in virtue of the will of past Popes to supply it. If you do deny this then from whom does a priest today (or during any vacancy) receive jurisdiction to hear the confession of a dying man as canon law says any priest can do If you say he receives it from canon law you admit he receives it in virtue of the grant made of it by a past pope (Benedict XV) who is long dead. You have this weird idea that jurisdiction is some kind of physical" [X Link](https://x.com/FrLavery/status/1978928534488813686) [@FrLavery](/creator/x/FrLavery) 2025-10-16T20:58Z 2225 followers, XXX engagements "@IMcmlviii69665 @LL7hywi11bd0n3 I did not appeal to Canon XXX nor to common error so you are arguing against a straw man.
