"Corp chains will never be single point of truth / global reference point for onchain economy. Essentially they are just AWS servers with blockchain APIs. Stripe won't outsource their business to Tether chain not to Circle chain and not to anything else. And vice versa. Would be XXX% retarded and no shareholder will agree. What's needed is a neutral chain everybody trusts. So disagree XXX% with Deans perspective. "ETH and Tempo are XXX% different. Tempo is a corp chain (same like Arc/Circle or Tether chain) which makes Stripes business native to onchain economy. Because this is where things are headed. Tempo could have also set up an AWS with blockchain API technically would be same. But ofc they wouldn't get L1 premium then. So their choice is understandable. ETH on the other hand is the foundation where everything onchain will derive it's security guarantees from (only one with state level security) with L2s distributing security to global scale. And everything playing out nicely re: upgrades"
