Elastos is introducing a new stablecoin called $btcd, which is fully backed by Bitcoin and allows users to unlock liquidity without selling their BTC. The project, dubbed #btcfi, aims to build a DeFi ecosystem on Bitcoin, enabling users to lend, borrow, and earn on their BTC holdings. This development is part of Elastos' efforts to leverage Bitcoin's security and create a native Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.
