"I went to one anime convention [--] years ago - never again. I love anime but the only enjoyable presentation they had was from a local guild of Medieval combat and arms. It is where I stayed the rest of the day. As someone who competed in MMA I found it awesome and ended up joining their guild. No one in that presentation or attending it was dressed like a porn star furry or obsessed with being as gay as possible to everyone around them. It was an oasis in a desert to me"
