"Can't be done. Cars are very reliable today require very little maintenance compared to cars in the past. This is dues to the fact that they are not low tech. All those computers doing ignition fuel injection control etc serve a purpose. On top of that engines are manufactured to very high tolerances hence they last X times as long as XX years ago. Perhaps it could be done with an electric car if the batteries were cheaper. Alas they are not"

"That line in Texas if it must exist is too far west. One simply cannot make a reasonable argument that Ft Worth much less Abilene is part of the South. It's best just to leave Texas be well Texas. Not part of the South not part of the Southwest. I get that West and East Texas are different but in degree not substance. BTW WTITBT"

"Fr both times I have visited Rome we went to daily mass at St Peter's. Once we had a priest friend who met us every morning had a chapel reserved and he said mass for our family. The other time we just showed up and attended a mass at a chapel presumably being said in a similar situation. This is no longer allowed"

"Dog owners as a group are horrible. I can't stand dogs I am tired of seeing them in grocery stores in coffee shops in restaurants. I am tired of finding dog poop in my front yard. I am tired of people who think it's ok to visit and bring their dog. If dog owners went back to behaving as they did until X years ago all would be ok. But we are way past that point now"
