"My two cents: I think both ideologies work for different people. Theres several ways to stay motivated and define success/purpose. I think its problematic as we see particularly in politics to say that theres only one right way to do/experience something. Scotties perspective works for him. Doesnt mean he doesnt care. His fulfillment is the process of winning not necessarily the actual thrill of the win. "But I think Keegans point is the failure at the Ryder Cup (the bad) lasts a lot longer than those two minutes. One of the reasons why I think Scottie is so good is because the awesomeness of winning only lasts a couple minutes. If it was longer hed potentially become complacent or satisfied.
