"Respectfully thats a common oversimplification. Commercials are hedgers managing risk not directional traders theyre often long near bottoms due to business exposure not market calls. Specs include hedge funds and asset managers not just retail. When their positioning is extreme it can signal exhaustion but it doesnt mean theyre wrong. In this case large specs are cutting exposure into strength and shorting which has historically preceded corrections. Worth watching"
