"US test preparation was going on for quite some time Putin has mentioned many times including Biden Era that test preparation was going on in some country ( referring to US ) and that Russia will purse it immediately if US tests it. Obviously test preparation cant be carried out in secret so the Intel from Russia or other countries would be monitoring it plus HUMINT aspect is there. So now President Trump takes decision to test then there will be cascading effect. But new test would be needed to validate if Nukes are working or new design enhancement are needed so far Big Powers use Laser"
