"Very well put here. I would go so far as saying most crypto tokens are completely useless and derived for max extraction. And the true value of crypto lies in the defi protocols that sit on top of these useless tokens. "There seems to be a big misconception about the ability to lose funds in an over-collateralized money market. Unfortunately I don't think many people realize how at risk many protocols are particularly in Cosmos where liquidity has dried up on "lent" assets that have been used as collateral for borrowing stablecoins in particular. Money markets are only "over-collateralized" if there is sufficient liquidity to liquidate supplied assets either when their price drops or the borrows become too high relative to the size of the collateral.
