"That's actually a huge development for Solana. They really needed it but it's not the holy grail they think it is. There is a good chance it will gain adoption as a cheap payment rail for USD just like TRON has but with more legitimacy (USDC vs USDT). However the bulk of liquidity will stay of ETH high-performant L2s are gaining traction and new VC chains will try to steal the spotlight for the newest "cheap/fast" L1.
