"YTs use a watermark mechanism for tokens which can go up and down in terms of their exchange rate So if in a week HLP is not profitable. The rate of hwHLP will go down. The YT cannot receive negative yield so it receives no yield until the rate of hwHLP returns to the watermark In terms of market dynamics I would expect this to lead to lower YT prices which would push pt prices up However in terms of accounting of value. USDT/USDE is bridged to hyperevm through @USDT0_to and @LayerZero_Core These are then bridge from EVM to Core Both USDT0 and USDE are sold for USDC and then deposited into HLP We have an oracle that tracks all balances onchain across Ethereum HyperEVM and Hypercore. This oracle updates when profits accrue to the vaults deposits into HLP As PNL of the deposits rise(and potentially fall).
