"That's true. An advantage is less U.S. market for a retiree or retiree in the retirement risk zone given the valuation concerns. That said the withholding tax on U.S. market ETF holdings (or U.S. within global ETFs) is so insignificant it's not an issue within a TFSA. Risk and greater asset allocation should still rule always rule"
