"After a long night waiting on the sand for the big bite we hooked into something unlike anything weve ever felt. It wasnt just powerfulit was otherworldly. As we battled it in the surf we realized we hadnt hooked a shark we had a massive manta ray wingspan pushing X feet caught completely by accident. With three of us chest-deep in the current we carefully flipped it right-side upbecause mantas can drown if theyre left upside down. This wasn't just catch and release it was a rescue. Seeing that majestic ray glide back into the deep free and alive was something Ill never forget. It reminded us"
