"🔥 Labor Day weekend King Salmon jigging in West Grand Traverse Bay at The Hole 🔥 We launched out of the Boardman River in my Lund 1800 Explorer and spot-locked with the Garmin Force trolling motor. The Garmin LiveScope XR lit up with salmon stacked under the boat at first light and the X oz Grim Reaper jig from Jonah Jigs (Traverse City MI) was absolutely on fire. Two beautiful chrome hens crushed the jig almost immediately while other boats struggled to get bites. "Anchored up in a fishy hole 🎣🛶 Manistee River vibes Running the Low 1860 Pathfinder Tunnel Hull Roughneck Jet Boat with the Mercury outboard jet motor upriver on the Lower Manistee River I found a deep dark green pocket behind some wood that just screamed fishy. I spun the boat upriver eased into the hole with the throttle and dropped anchor to set up for fishing. While I was getting settled another boat came by and asked how I was doing. I told them Id only gotten one fish so far but hadnt been out long. They replied nice Im one for two just a friendly chat between anglers on the river."
