"Each hyve prototype is currently made custom for $20000. Before manufacturing is set up each unit is hand machined to our exact specifications. When starting out we didnt have money to fund this. Instead we hired an industrial designer from Upwork to create photo realistic 3D renderings of the product. While the product has evolved tremendously these renderings allowed initial pre-seed investors to see the vision of what the product and platform would look like.
