Ive also done my own research (all the numbers I mention in the video are from the American Diabetes Association). I think its really important for people to know that just because a mom or dad has T1D doesnt automatically mean their kids will. The risk is higher but its not as common as most people assume. I have friends with T1D whose kids dont have it at all and I also know people who decided not to have kids because of diabetes. Its such a personal decision"
