The seeds I bought have all the chaff removed are very thin and small. The seeds I saved still have a lot of chaff on them that are hard to remove. I used too much pen on my butterfly and next time will try to use less pen overall. "Cane damage after frost This is my Grande Dame. I pruned around Valentines Day as is customary in my zone. We had warm weather and my plants started leafing out then a significant freeze over about a week. Every new leaf node that sprouted turned black and at that node the canes started turning black. "Eastern Tiger swallowtail Hi everyone I have had a butterfly garden now for several years. I have had several host plants that have brought in a range of caterpillars and also many nectar plants. One butterfly that I really love in my zone 9a Central Tx garden is the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. I get a couple every summer and autumn but usually 1-3 the whole season. Very low numbers. I would love to have one of its host plants in my garden. It has several different host plants to choose from but many of them are trees. I would have to probably pot one of them as I really have no place to plant"

"Swiss chard I have been growing rainbow Swiss chard in my garden as it was colorful and I try to incorporate visually interesting plants to interest my kiddos. Anyway I didnt know how to cook it and had never eaten it. I looked up this recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/148889/sauteed-swiss-chard-with-parmesan-cheese/ I cut the spines out chopped them up and then chopped the leaves. I sauted the spines with onions and garlic in olive oil. I added lemon juice and salt and pepper (didnt have white wine). Added a little Parmesan on top. It was really good I have been riffing on this"

"First watercolor I doodle a lot of landscapes like this and decided to try to watercolor it. I only have crayola watercolor here right now so thats what I used.
