"Video of the tank after watering and a cleaning showing a few of the inhabitants Before anyone asks I leave the back and right side glass alone so the snails have a place to sleep without me constantly moving them and so the scavenging/detritivorous animals have something to nibble on. Added a few more plants today and some "reptisoil" to a couple of spots to give the critters a bit more variety in their substrate. The goal is for as much biodiversity as the tank can sustain so lots of cohabitation going on. I'm trying to make a list of every species currently in the tank (that I know about)"

I've had her in a naturalistic vivarium with tons of different species of invertebrates needless to say I think she's been getting enough to eat. Maybe too much. Is she obese Do her bones look ok She's pissed cause I'm redoing her tank. The isopocolypse has struck once again. Also I don't normally keep her by the sink it just has the clearest lighting. Im pretty sure she's just full of water but I just want to be sure. She has an incredibly diverse diet ranging from worms to crickets to isopods earwigs"

"Finally got the big tank put back together and moved some of the residents from the medium tank back into the big tank here they both are My two "biodiversity" tanks as I call them vivariums focused on inverts and a few amphibians. I'm working on making them as biodiverse and naturalistic as possible without (hopefully) overloading them. To help with this none of the stuff put in them has been sterilized instead allowing whatever eggs or inverts were in them to become part of the tanks. This does unfortunately mean parasites and diseases are possible but I feel the benefits out way that risk."

Bracken fern fiddleheads I'm normally a really cautious forager. Every new plant or mushroom I eat I take very careful steps to ensure I do everything right and don't accidentally poison myself. "An excellent display of a snail's radula in action Caught one of my grove snails smooshed up against the glass showing a wonderful display of the radula in action Snails don't have jaws; rather they have a spine-covered tongue-like organ kind of like a cat's that is used to scrape up food into the mouth Here you can see the radula rasping bits of carrot into the mouth. Any advice Unfortunately I was only able to get pictures of it on the water which obscures its upright posture. While it does look like a wild mallard at first glance I strongly suspect it is actually domestic. My reasoning are as follows; 1) it is far too large to be wild. Wild mallards are much smaller than this about only 2/3rds to half the size of this duck 2) it's breast is very defined which is common in domestic ducks but rare in wild ducks and 3) the shape is"

"Ladies and gentlemen we got em (Fredrick the dumped duck update) Happy update I posted a little while ago about a male domestic duck that had been dumped in my area (called Fredrick by locals) I'm happy to report that he has been captured and is safe and sound looking for a new home What I ended up doing was bringing some high protein scratch down to the river then lured him out of the water up the boat launch by putting the feed on the ground. I had been gaining his trust so it was easy to get him to come over. Then when he was out of the water I held out some feed in my hand which he"

"Is this a fungus a slime mold a lichen or an algae I see it all the time in mowed lawns especially sandy ones. Green and floppy when wet blackish-green and crispy when dry. Northern Michigan I swear this isn't poop I started noticing this about sixteen years ago when I was in middle school where a lot of the mowed untreated areas had it all over the place. Texture when hydrated is like a mix between witch's butter and tree ear. When dry it becomes almost black and quite crispy. It *really* looks like a kind of jelly fungus to me but it grows on the ground and has that algae-green color to it."

Me and my dad both realized this after he got one of the sweaters from a promotional vodka bottle and saw that it seemed like the same size as Plushtwo's arms and torso. This was probably six or seven years ago he's been wearing it ever since The beetle bracelet is a souvenir from the butterfly house on Mackinac Island which also fits perfectly. "Pterraforming The evolution of the Archopterans Well *rough* evolution canonically most of the transition species before the K-T boundary are missing. The problem lies in the transition from pelagic to arboreal switching from living on/by the ocean (which is great for fossilization) to living in trees (terrible for fossilization). I mostly made this to show that despite being extremely derived (such as the hand-feet and wing-walking) it's really not that unrealistic. "Mice unfortunately got into one of my storage bins and made a mess of this plush mask. I vacuumed it best I could but how do I wash it There was no plush tag so I just put "laundry". My mom got me this mask several years ago as bald eagles are my second favorite animal but I had to put it in storage while I switched rooms. Unfortunately mice figured out a way in and made a mess of it. I hlgot most of the poop off but now it's stained with urine. It's super fluffy so I don't think the laundry machine is an option lest it destroy the fabric. I will definitely put pet urine remover on it but"

"Got this small horse toy as a kid in a pack of about 10-12 other little horses as a kid in the late 90s early 2000s. Does anyone recognize them/the brand The horses came in various shapes sizes and types seems to be a soft type of plastic. It *may* have smcime from Dollar Tree as that's where I got a lot of my toys at the time. Unfortunately one of our dogs got to them years ago but I held onto them in hopes of finding what they were any maybe getting a replacement set.

Texture when hydrated is like a mix between witch's butter and tree ear. When dry it becomes almost black and quite crispy. It really looks like a kind of jelly fungus to me but it grows on the ground and has that algae-green color to it."

It glows in the dark which makes it easy for me to find him in the dark. I also wonder if it would fit my Spamton plush but the sweater"

"Pterraforming The evolution of the Archopterans Well rough evolution canonically most of the transition species before the K-T boundary are missing. The problem lies in the transition from pelagic to arboreal switching from living on/by the ocean (which is great for fossilization) to living in trees (terrible for fossilization). Seem to all have different sized bases Sorry if there's a more specific sub for this I'm mostly familiar with the more nature oriented "what's this" subs. If there is a better sub I will post it there instead. Anyways as the title says weird nail-like metal things with different sized bases. The tips seem to be wedge shaped like a flat nail and the "rod" part seems to be the same size on each. I've seen a lot of different tools in my time but this is new. I think they're"

I've always had dreams where I could feel pain and feel injuries but this was so fucking next level I'm still stunned. The first part of the dream was normal and boring just me trying to do a group project in a class and turning it in before the lunch bell. The dress/shirt/pants are a replacement not part of the original plush I've had them since I was at least a toddler so it's at latest from the 90s. They originally had a removable onesie that had Easter eggs or jellybeans (not sure if the bottom of the slippers matched the jammies). Three batches so far and I'm finding less and less each time Rusty crawfish have quickly become the dominant species here in our waters and it's become a huge problem. Not as as bad as quagga/zebra muscles but still pretty bad.
