"Nikolai Zouev former RINGS wrestler and Russian SAMBO icon passed away last month from "heart issues" per the Russian SAMBO federation. A bit late on this but I didn't see it posted anywhere and I figured it was worth noting. Reddit has a ban on Russian domain links but their website reports he passed away on May 21st. Zouev was a very solid wrestler for RINGS and was one of the many Russian/Eastern European grapplers Akira Maeda brought over to help build his roster early on in the promotion's life. Zouev wasn't as flashy as Volk Han but was very sound technically and could work a decent"
