"Battle of two excellent consumer crts Two great curved screen consumer crts. The Sony is rgb the JVC is component. These are of course just two zoomed in pics. I'd like to do some more broad scope images later if people are interested. In practice I prefer the slot mask though this one is particularly sharp. The jvc is also giving me slightly off colors over component despite endless calibration whereas the Sony is really spot on over RGB. The JVC has currently better convergence as well (haven't touched the Sony rings yet). Text on the Sony appears more sharp but the image is similar"

"I got a big bump in clarity using direct video with mister fpga. The corners in particular. At first it brighter but hardly different than io board and component. Then I changed the ini to hdmi_limited=2 and bam. Blacks came back online from being crushed overall clarity increase and the corners shored up. "Hello first post. Looking for help with direct video to RGB modded consumer TV I have an RGB modded sony kv32s42 I've been using with mister addons analogue I/O board and it works just fine. When I try to use direct video mode with either of my two external hdmi to VGA DACs it won't work. I have the lazerbear component shell and with that component through direct video works just fine so I don't think it's the DAC. The cable is retrogaming cables UK mister scart to VGA. The TV acts like its not getting the voltage for blanking no picture just the "video" top left with a little wierd shimmer"

"Question about composite video on CRT with mister analog io pro I have the mister analog pro io board with integrated composite using their universal cable with their provided .ini and when I try to use composite video (yellow cable of the universal cable) the screen just rolls and there is no color. I also have a saturn composite cable and same thing. I have run update all etc as well. Any leads would be greatly appreciated thank you. Toshiba 20" composite only CRT. Other crts and 13" pvm same results all around. One more thing when I use my RGB .ini it has sync but no color. If that helps."
