"Ive had many people ask why a drone is not being used instead of a helicopter for the signal sniffer. I put together a simple graphic which I know isnt great but hopefully it helps explain the issue. A drone must maintain a signal connection between the ground controller and the aircraft. When flying at low altitude the farther the drone gets from the controller the shallower that signal angle becomes.
