"Pre-COVID (FY2019): Outlays $4.45T deficit $984B. Post-COVID peak (FY2020): Outlays $6.55T (+47%) deficit $3.13T (+218%). FY2024 proj.: Outlays $6.94T (+56%) deficit $1.8T (+83%). Increases driven by $4T+ in stimulus; outlays stay high from expanded programs. For ZDB FY2025 baseline adds $15T debt vs pre-COVID delaying zero to 2065 without deeper cuts"

"This is the problem with the federal government. They want us to believe they are just too big to be accountable. The federal government needs to be shrunk to XX% of what it is today. We went from $XXX trillion in 2000 to $6.55T in 2020. Then the monstrous $7.2T this year. Many of you may not remember 2000 but the government was TOO BIG THEN Weve lost the plot folks. Shrinking the federal government should be priority number one not growing it"
