"$ALE In a major but not fatal setback an administrative-law judge recommended that the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission block Alletes $6.2bn acquisition by the BlackRock-owned Global Infrastructure Partners and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. In a 67-page ruling judge Megan McKenzie wrote that the proposed acquisition is not in the public interest and that it carries real and significant costs and risks to Minnesota ratepayers and few if any benefits.
